About me

Hi! My name is Sam Bell and I am the face behind Keep It Weird Creations.  I've loved making things for as long as I can remember.  I grew up going to crafts fairs with my grandma where I sold my handmade scrunchies for $1.  Since then I have always looked at how things are made and wondeirng if I can make them myself.  I love learning new skills, tools and materials.

I've always really loved stained glass, and  other glass arts because its just a cool and facsinating medium.  I literally could watch folks make stuff with glass all day.  In 2020, I started really researching and observing the different ways people make stained glass.  After selling some of my handmade cutting boards, I decided to invest in a set of tools to make my own.  I fell in love with doing stained glass on my first piece.  I've been working on finding my own style and developing my skills.

By day, I am an outdoor educator teaching elementary aged students about forest health through hands on scientific data collection and participating in a citizen science project.  Previously, I have worked in museums where I developed a maker space program and exhibit from an e,mpty exhibit hall.  I have also worked on developing exhibits including more recently some hand on exhibits for NASA.
